enjoyed myself as it was my first trip on the river

Had three from the Kennet last night, 5lbs, 8lbs and my first double from this stretch at 10lbs 3ozs. Woke up smiling today.

Luke well done matey I will be looking for some pointers on the Wye going soon. Picked up a new rolling rod today and christened it with 2 Barbel a Chub and a duck!

Out yesterday. All looked well, cloud cover ,bit of rain.
Managed one Barbel of 8-8 at 11am then nothing for the rest of the day, not even the crays were interested. Wimped out at 6-30pm when the rain got heavier.---Best wishes,---John. |

Out yesterday with Micky, five fish between us best each about 8lb. Althouth the weather man said you would be unlucky to get a shower during the day we had about 7 showers and one soaking. Tight lines Pete W |

Nightfished the Royalty with Jez - new PB 11lb 1oz!
Many thanks to Jez who kindly let me come round after my cricket match ended at 8.45pm! We won by 8 runs which went to the last over! ...and also to DR who expertly netted and photographed it in the dark and made sure the fish returned in tip top condition after weighing. Pic to follow...

nice one wes,top man...i fished the kennet tonight and caught two great fish.1lb8oz and 2lb roach...which was quite odd as i was fishing 14mm boilies...
still a new kennet p.b which i was pleased about. luke |

Hi All
Great roach, Luke, and some cracking fish all round. Me? - I made just my second fishing trip of the season on Saturday, and chose to take my Dad up to the Old Mill. Found 18 people on the river (!) so fiddled about on the pond instead. Had a lovely afternoon, but was unsurprised with the lack of action on the main river with that many rods fishing..... Ho hum - I'm hoping for more angling opportunity come the Autumn, but have to wonder if that sort of fishing pressure is prevalent all over the Kennet. Best wishes Kev |
