There's still lots of time before the season starts again, apart from those of you who worry the tench (or not as the case may be)
How about (please) putting fingers to keyboard and writing and article for BarbelAngler, on any fishing-related subject. You don't actually have to be good at writing, grammar or spelling, just say it as you see it - some editing may be possible but it's not that important, really
Or write a review on an item of tackle you feel is good, or bad I suppose.
You can write in MSWord, notepad, or in fact almost any software, but please supply images separately. We can "process" the piece and you will get a chance to look at it before it is published on the site.
Click the kingfisher above and you can see the stuff that exists - unfortunately there was a break in the site so it would be nice to get this rolling again.
