Thanks for the link. Makes the 1000's of hours worthwhile
Lets hope it's not the same old battle weary split fin fish. You never know, there could be a surprise 'new' river producing this season
Not the Wensum though. The river has too many chub, so I've been told.

I think the chub were really munching on an absolute abundance of food that was being piled in for absent barbel last season on my local rivers. They are all
weirdly large this season, I have so far had around 20 chub over 5lb, including 7 over 6lb, 4 over 6 1/2lb, have only had 2 or 3 under
5lb.....................average last few years was about 4 1/2 to 5.
That is a great fish Mickey, well done...........

The chub on Throop havent exactly been going at it in the last week or so, started off with a real bang with lots of big fish comin out, now its getting
hard again and the chub are beggining to become much more finicky than I've ever known them to be, resulting in the chub plucking your bait slowly or just
giving you a massive whack every 20 minuites or so which no-one is quick enough to hit. However i did managed to hit one of the really finicky bites and
connect with a fish on a bite which could easily be mistaken for mainline cutting through or scrapping weed. The chub are averaging mid 5s to low 6s, its
unbelievable how much weight they are able to lose and re-gain after spawning, i was sat with PJ recently and he had a chub of 5lb 12oz which i had in March at
7lb 0oz, its bizzare to me.
