Hi Mate
I'd always reccomend the Hampshire Avon for pike, I've been very lucky and had 3 x 20 lb'ers from there but its full of good pike and they are very obliging, you can catch them on live baits, dead baits and lures when allowed... Great place - always check on rivers when the pike season starts - some start Oct 1st and some Nov 1st. Also Salmon rivers have a limited time when you can lure fish and also some have bans on livebaits... The Wasing has a great pike lake so Luke and I can take you up there whenever you fancy a bash. Agree with Jez on this one. Royalty has some cracking Pike for a river and the Wasing is great fun for a lake....loads of monsters!! Good luck with the
20lbder hunt....that's quiet a target especially if you're looking for a river fish!!

There are a lot of pike rivers in the local area i would strongly advise pike fish areas where no one else does, i did last year and had some brill results,
the royalty is great but has lots of pressure ..
