I've caught chub from two swims down there although suspect they are throughout the whole length just in smaller numbers than the barbel. All of the chub I
have caught have been over 5lb (weighted not guesstimated) with one 6lb'er. Caught far more barbel though. Suspect the chub would come into their own more
when conditions are not so good for barbel fishing. I spend most of my time fishing rigs and tactics designed to avoid them at this time of year.

I think they are very hit and miss i fished lower 11 times this year and 1 chub but they are obviusly there as they are in the upper B stretch in good
numbers.
I have seen some others near to the weir which looked about 4lb plus. Upper B has produced Chub to well over 7lb!! |
