I will be there at the meeting and, unashamedly, I am going to plug two things (well I do the techy stuff so I can) here and now

Firstly I shall be showing the rod design which I have used for 4 seasons, and which I designed specifically for use with a centrepin. Now I am happy to say that the "paul4 Barbel Rod" will be manufactured by Peregrine Rods, and available now for around £225.

It's so new it's not even on the Peregrine site yet, but for provisional details please see here

Also I shall have a few brand new "Fred Crouch Jet" aerial (replica) centrepins for sale, in hardwood presentation box, at around £125 - please let me know in advance if you want me to reserve you one to avoid disappointment.

I spoke to G.E. yesterday and he said he was expecting it to be a "full house" ,so get there

1. Graham Elliott is giving a talk - Barbel on the rivers Thames, Kennet and Loddon.

2. Guy Robb will be giving a talk on the Thames and also showing some out takes from the making of his and Stu Morgans DVD

3. Chas Kellet will also be giving a informative talk about the Upper Benyons ( river Kennet) Berkshire

4. Pete Reading, Steve Pope and many more well known
anglers (incl Micky and me ) will be there to chat to and exchange ideas

5. there's a Tackle Auction

(Please bring some of your unwanted tackle bits along to sell)

6. there's a TACKLE STAND & RAFFLE

It's usually a great night - listen, learn, chat, participate ..... and if you are old enough, and aren't driving , then have a drink too.

Repete and I really enjoyed the Berkshire evening at the Bridge House last night and have at last joined the Barbel Society .
(18 new members last night)

With Graham as compare the evening went very smoothly and I enjoyed Guy Robbs d.v.d. outakes and the wisdom
of Pete Reading on reasearch and consevervation and Chas. Kellet on his sucess on the Kennet.

The time went so quickly I didn't find time to chat with everyone but hopefully there will be another meeting early in the new year.

Was a good night wasn't it? Graham finished earlier than some meetings finish so that, as he explained, people could chat to each other. Trouble on M25 and it took me 1.3/4 hours to get home

It was a good idea though - at an Uxbridge meeting a while back it finished at about 11 and there was people I wanted to talk to, and was still there about 12 ish I think, can't quite remember whether we were kicked out or what, anyway it was late

The Berkshire evening was fantastic! What a turn out! Well done Graham.

It was good to meet theBarbelAngler members, some again and some for the first time.

Listening to the presentations and talking to people, everyone seems to fish a different way and all are successful. It was good to hear how other people fish and I now have some more ideas and things to try this winter.

looking forward to the next meeting.
